The Nutrient Dense Food Project is:

• Organizing and educating consumers to lobby retailers (grocery stores, CSA's, farmers markets, food coops, etc.) to provide nutrient dense food.
• Recruiting and training farmers to produce nutrient dense crops and provide them to the retailers who want them.
• Coordinating specialists in the field to develop standards for nutrient density.
• Creating educational materials that explain the importance of nutrient dense crops to consumers.
• Working with agronomists and agricultural consultants to educate about the new markets and premiums available with nutrient dense food.
• Joining with land grant colleges to develop research projects that prove the effectiveness of various strategies for growing nutrient dense food.
• Creating a coherent strategy for the campaign by actively listening to and integrating the wisdom and experience of all constituencies.
